The Story behind ThinkQSi

ThinkQSi isn’t just a brand name for us—it’s part of my personal story and our family legacy.

The sign was simple: a block of orange-painted wood with a brushed silver plate. On it, engraved in bold letters, was just one word: Think.

When I was a kid, my father had a small desk sign. It was simple: an orange wooden block with a brushed silver plate engraved with one word "Think". I asked him why he kept it, and he explained: “Everything starts with thinking. You have to think things through before you do anything.” Then he flipped the sign over and showed me its origins, IBM founder Thomas J. Watson Sr., who built the company on the motto “Think.” For my father, it wasn’t just a slogan. It was a philosophy for life and business.

That lesson stayed with me.

In 1992, we founded Q&S International Inc.. Over the years we wore many hats including global trade, travel, logistics, contractors, supply chain management etc. “International” wasn’t just in the name; it reflected the scope of what we did across continents.

After my father passed, I redirected Q&S toward consulting and fractional leadership for small and mid-sized businesses. But as the company evolved, the name “Q&S International” felt too long, too broad, and not fully representative of who we had become.

That’s when the sign came back to me. Think.

From there, ThinkQSi was born. “Think” as a reminder that clarity and foresight must come before action. “QSi” as our promise of Quality, Service, and Innovation. Together, it represents the way we work—thoughtful solutions, delivered with high standards, designed to create lasting impact.

Q&S International Inc. remains the company. ThinkQSi is the brand that carries forward our values and our story. Every partnership begins the same way: by thinking things through, and then getting it right.
